The England manager has opted to stick with the identical England squad that triumphed against their previous opponents and delivered an impressive performance in Belgrade last month, finding no place for the Real Madrid star and the Manchester City attacker in his group for the forthcoming exhibition match against the Welsh side and the qualifying match in the Baltic nation.

Despite Foden pushing for a return to the squad after regaining his top condition at his club, and Bellingham having made a comeback for Real Madrid following a surgical procedure, the head coach has decided against including two of the nation's most prominent offensive stars. Bellingham has started just a single time for his club since his comeback.

The England boss has made room for the Arsenal winger, who is fully recovered and has been reinstated in place of his injured Arsenal teammate Noni Madueke. Jack Grealish has not been handed a recall.

The national team coach highlighted the energy in the previous selection and appears determined to maintaining the vibe. The Newcastle defender, who featured at the defensive flank in the convincing victory in Serbia, has been ruled out due to a knee injury. Tuchel has not called up a like-for-like substitute for the Newcastle player but has included the Manchester City defender, who had to withdraw previously. Tuchel has spoken about the centre-back's importance for England and has suggested deploying him in the middle of the park.

No spot has been found for Adam Wharton, who was called up in the previous squad but pulled out injured and was replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Tuchel said: “It was only three weeks after the previous gathering and the most recent victory, the latest display, so the consideration was why not bring the identical squad in because they established a benchmark. Now it is about creating habits out of it. We have unfortunately a couple of fitness issues at the moment with Livramento and Noni and we bring of course Bukayo Saka in to replace Madueke. Jarell Quansah was a late call-up last time; he will remain with the squad.”
